Landscape drawing
Philip specializes in drawing landscape plans and details in the latest Autocad software. This software is compatible with the majority of Engineering and Architect drawing software and landscape plans can be easily generated from survey plans or house plans. Plans are rendered in Photoshop.

Philip can produce simple 3D drawings using Sketch Up software. Representing the landscape plan in 3D provides a clear spatial understanding of all the components of the plan.

Garden Ideas Service
We come to your property offering a one – two hour consultation service. Whilst walking around with you, we discuss your aspirations for the property and offer ideas and suggestions to make them realizable. The information discussed during the consultation is compiled as a written report and sent to you for your reference and action. The cost of this service is charged at $60 +GST/hour.
Why Plan and what is the Process?
The most important component when creating a new garden or modifying an existing one is planning. We believe that well designed gardens create the difference, enhancing the value and character of your property. Due to our experience we can optimize spaces and visualize how your garden will look as it matures, thus avoiding overplanting. We don’t follow a “one size fits all” planting regime; vast plant knowledge allows for a garden created for your specific site requirements, in the style you imagined.

We have devised a four step planning process to achieve this.

I like to meet with the client on site to assess the situation and scope of the design involved.
At this stage a general discussion takes place to ascertain your ideas, desires, and wishes. If the property is a newly constructed home, at this meeting I will request from you a copy of the builder’s site plan – this is a plan which shows the outline of the house in relation to the boundaries and generally has drainage detail on it.
To help you visualize what you want to achieve, we provide two different options looking at the design layout of your property. These plans feature garden and lawn shape and size, driveway and paved areas, outdoor living areas and utility areas, retaining walls if necessary, plus special features such as pergolas, archways, outdoor fireplaces or water features. Specimen or feature trees may be included at this stage but generally no planting detail is included at this step. Concept plans are intended to be used as “melting pots” for ideas. Your input is encouraged via selecting different ideas from the two plans.
An easily redrawn revised plan combines the elements selected by you from the two initial concepts, thus creating your personalised plan. Your final concept will be presented to you as a coloured plan.
Once a concept plan has been finalised, a detailed planting plan is provided for the garden areas.
The planting plan is presented as a ‘birds eye view’, as if one were looking down on the property, and the plants are represented by stylised circles drawn to scale, labeled with a botanical name. To avoid confusion I always use botanical names, as often common names refer to more than one species of plant. The planting plan comes with a plant schedule listing all the plants used by their botanical name and a common name if applicable, and the number of plants required.

You can tap into Leigh’s extensive plant knowledge through utilizing her plant supply service. She will source and provide cost estimates for the plants used in your plan, and once you are ready to undertake the planting will deliver them to site. An invaluable additional service is the placement of plants in readiness for planting. This will save you loads of time identifying what plant should go where.
Leigh is also photographer who can capture exciting images of your garden for your personal enjoyment. Contact her to enquire about her photography services
